We are proud to share Groundswell’s 2011 annual report with you. Groundswell’s partners made incredible progress last year, and it was your generosity that made it all possible. Together we are supporting marginalized rural women and men around the world to regenerate their farms and landscapes, grow more food, and organize to create healthy communities and local economies.
Groundswell’s approach empowers families and communities to create, lead and implement their own development processes, giving rural people control over their own destinies. This requires investing in local people – not imposing answers. Not everyone understands this long-term, people centered approach. This is why we need your support. The flexibility of the resources you give us allows us to support people in pursuing their dreams. Frankly, it is impossible without it, so please give whatever you can.
We are inspired by the unsung heroes we work with in rural communities every day. Thank you for giving them the opportunity to create a hopeful future.
