Confronting Crisis: Transforming Lives through Improved ResilienceReports
Confronting Crisis: Transforming Lives through Improved Resilience (2013) is a report from Concern Worldwide, an international humanitarian organization dedicated to tackling hunger, based upon their learning from Sahel and the Horn of Africa. This report, written in September of 2013, discusses various “pathways to resilience”. The report includes an emphasis on agroecology/FMNR and regreening as a key pathway for the Sahel, and places strong emphasis on the pathway of Multi-actor action to fight malnutrition. With recommendations made from Peter Gubbels, Groundswell’s Director of Action Learning and Advocacy for West Africa, Concern published this report with the goals of outlining steps which communities can take to ensure that their food and nutrition security is resilient to drought, so that people can continue progressing out of chronic poverty and malnutrition.
