ACB VIDEO – Experiences of FISP: Farm Input Subsidy Programs in Africa
Groundswell is a part of a network across Africa that is working to change Farmer Input Subsidy Programs (FISPs). FISPs are government policies that promote subsidized packages of chemical fertilizers, hybrid seeds and other chemical inputs. These financial resources can be better used to support farmers to sustainably improve their soil fertility and food production, through agroecological approaches.
Groundswell is working with partners and allies to create these positive changes to FISP programs in Ghana and Burkina Faso, West Africa. To understand the issues, please take a look at these four, brief videos, which were produced by the African Center for Biodiversity and the perspectives of allies including Groundswell.
